Summer Days, Mountain Nights
Summer in the Wichitas runs long and warm. The trails are open early, the creeks are cold, and the bison are out on the prairie most mornings. Back at the property, the hot tub is ready when you are. We have 22 rentals across Medicine Park and Lawton, from tiny houses with rooftop decks to riverside cabins and group lodges that sleep up to 37.
Why the Wichitas in Summer
Days full, nights quiet
Trails Open All Summer
Charon's Garden, Mt. Scott, and the Narrows are all accessible. Most trailheads are under 10 minutes from your door.
Cold Creeks & Still Lakes
Medicine Creek, Bath Lake, and Lake Lawtonka are all within a short drive. Bring the paddleboard.
Bison on the Prairie
The Wildlife Refuge herd is most active in the early morning. Drive the loop road before 8am and you'll have it mostly to yourself.
Private Hot Tubs
Most of our properties have a private hot tub. After a day on the trails, it earns its keep.
Live Music in Medicine Park
Rockin' the Park and Park Stomp run through summer. The cobblestone strip has cold drinks and a stage most weekends.
Midweek Rates from $99
Sunday through Thursday stays are often 30–40% less than weekends. Book direct for the best price.
